François is a veteran executive with 30 years of experience in advanced cell and gene therapy product development across multiple therapeutic areas. His background includes leadership roles in both startups and major healthcare organizations. He previously served as President of Renovaro Biosciences, CEO of Rediens, and Global Head of Product Development at Lineage Cell Therapeutics, with prior experience at Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, and Genzyme.
Michael is a physician-scientist with over 25 years of experience in internal medicine, developmental biology, and drug development. He has held senior leadership roles in both biotech startups and major pharma, including Centocor, Johnson & Johnson, and Incyte. He co-founded the Proof-of-Concept Team at J&J and led Global Medical Affairs at Incyte.
Ariel Rodriguez, PhD, is Head of Translational Science at Tidewave Bio, leading translational R&D for the company’s advanced therapy platform. He has extensive experience across molecular biology, preclinical development, gene-modified cellular therapies, and regulatory quality assessment, with prior roles in the U.S. and Europe spanning translational science, biologics evaluation, and advanced therapy development. Dr. Rodriguez has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications and is an inventor on several patent applications.
Alexander Eggermont, MD, PhD, is Head of Tidewave Bio’s Clinical Advisory Board and an internationally recognized leader in cancer immunotherapy, translational oncology, and clinical trial strategy. He is the former Director General of Gustave Roussy and has held senior leadership roles across leading European cancer centers and oncology organizations, including EORTC, ECCO, and Cancer Core Europe. Prof. Eggermont is widely known for his contributions to melanoma and solid tumor immunotherapy, with more than 1,200 publications and major impact on the development of modern cancer immunotherapy approaches.
Dr. Saeed Sadeghi is a hematologist and medical oncologist in Santa Monica, specializing in breast, gynecological, and hepatobiliary cancers. Board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology, he participates in UCLA Health clinical trials and has led research on breast and epatobiliary cancers. Dr. Sadeghi received his medical degree from the St. Louis University School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center, followed by his hematology-oncology fellowship at UCLA.
Dave Whelan has devoted his career to building businesses and inspiring entrepreneurs at the intersection of Technology, health, and wellness. Dave works with organizations and entrepreneurs across the country and around the world, through his consultancy Bespoke Strategy, as well as collaborations with Wavemaker Three-Sixty Health and Big4Bio. He has held senior roles with BioscienceLA and New York Genome Center, among others. He holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School and a BS Symbolic Systems from Stanford University.
Katherine is a biopharmaceutical executive with over 20 years of global experience in Technical Operations, CMC and Quality Assurance across biologics, cell therapies and combination products. She has led teams through clinical and commercial manufacturing, regulatory inspections, and product launches. Before joining Tidewave Bio, Katherine served as Vice President of Technical Operations at Evofem Biosciences and held leadership roles at Vital Therapies, Dendreon, and Sandoz. She is passionate about advancing innovative therapies through robust CMC and GMP strategies that enable seamless scale-up and successful commercialization.
Oliver is a biotech and pharmaceutical industry veteran with 30 years of experience, including more than two decades in Regulatory Affairs and extensive expertise in Quality. He has led global regulatory strategies across complex product development programs in regenerative medicine, biologics, combination products, and medical devices, with expertise in CMC, clinical development, and regulatory filings. Oliver has successfully supported global submissions including INDs, BLAs, PMAs, 510(k)s, and CE Marks across oncology and other therapeutic areas. His experience spans both emerging biotechnology companies and large multinational organizations.
